A Bachelor of Social Work progromme has
been approved by the Senate of the University of
Victoria for students who have a B.A. degree or
two years’ undergraduate studies and a minimum
of two years’ work experience in the field of social
welfare (Volunteer work experience may qualify).

The programme will provide part-time decen-
tralized studies leading to a B.S.W. for students in
the Interior of B.C. Courses are offered on a part-
lim studies format, allowing evening and weekend
studies. The objective of the B.S.W. programme is
to prepare genera! practitioners who can respond
to troubled individuals and families in a social
