In his early years he waa employed in the forest industry, moving to Trail in 1934 where he was employed by Cominco. Three years later he married Josephine Mazyocchi and for a while they lived in Rossland, In 1942 the couple moved to Castle. gar. Eight years later Mr. Fornelli left Cominco to take over the dairy owned by Roy Tipping. He sold the dairy herd in 1958 and returned to the forest industry. Two years later, during construction of the pulp mill, he gained employment with Pinkertons Security Agency. A'year later he began working for CanCel. figure in the years, children. Retirement Mr. and Mrs. Fornelli have been active in the Scout movement, both in Robson and later in Castlegar. Since then the For- nellies have lived in Castlegar where they intend to remain amongst their many friends they have made over the years. The couple enjoy snow-: shoeing and hiking in the winter and fishing in the summer. Mr. Fornelli is alsoa keen hunter and enjoys gardening. Well, it’s a sort of minl-band that Mr. Nelson is organizing, and it includes all the instruments from flute to trombone, ‘There are 20 members who get together in their spare time to play mostly jazz and other fun types of music. Hurray, none of those icky compositions _ that must sometimes be ployed in class. Some of the songs included right now are the Peter Gunn Theme, Kansas City and Tijuana Taxi. There are try- outs every month where non- members: can challenge the existing members and try to take their place. Grade eight's and nine’s are both welcome to join, but right now it consists only of grade nine's, Some trips are planned for the future though at’ the moment it’s practice, practice, practice.
