Selected Russian psalms were read by the bride's parents and the psalm Be Devout was read by bride's grandmother Mabel Zaitsoff. The bride, given in marriage by her parents, wore a long white satin gown, with a princess neckline (lace and beaded with pearls) and a V-shaped drop waist flowing to a scalloped lace hem. The front of the dress was accented with eloquent white pearl and sequin designs. The gown had full-fitted satin puffed sleeves, tapering to lace and pearl beaded sleeves and pointed cuffs and was enhanced by a cathedral train. The bride's headpiece was a pearl headband, accented by satin white flowers on the side. The bridesmaids carried a bouquet of white roses, white freshias and royal blue cornflowers, the maid of honor’s bouquet having a trailing ivy. The flower girl wore a white laced long gown, with a wide royal blue sash and carried a white lace basket with white roses and white freshias. ‘The groom, given in marriage by his parents, wore a black tuxedo with tails enhanced with a silver broques tie and cummerbund. His bestman and groomsmen wore grey tuxedos with royal blue ties and cummerbunds. Rob Tanner of Vancouver was the best man. Satpal and d by Henry Ralph, had three-layered tiers decorated with blue and white silk flowers and topped with blown-giass interlocking hearts and doves. The master of ceremonies was Moses Zibin. The toast to the bride was given by Alex Zaitsoff, uncle ofthe bride, while the toast to the couple was given by Tim Baulkham, brother of the groom. Response to both toasts were given by the groom. The couple's first waltz was Always, which ended with a Nisgha Indian tradition of throwing and covering the young couple with brightly covered ribbon. Cindy Zaitsoff, cousin of the bride, caught the bouquet and Satpal Parhar, groomsman, caught the garter. Out-of-town guests came from Fernie, Creston, Edmonton, Victoria, Kelowna, Vancouver, Vernon, Bowser, Fort St. John, Greenville, Princeton, Cranbrook, Ucluelet, Saskatchewan and Ontario.
