Jung Kil (John) Chang did not make an appearance in court as his lawyer asked for and was granted an adjourn- - ment . “It was the first time it went to court and we had no idea what the crown’s case was, so it was adjourned for plea,” said Chang’s lawyer John Carpenter. Chang will enter a plea and a trial date will be set when the case returns to court April 27, Carpenter said. An aid to the minister said Thursday the fate of the Castlegar sawmill and Tree Farm Licence No. 23 “will be de- cided either next week or the week af- | toy” ter Local MLA Ed Conroy was less than thrilled with the move, saying “the com- munity needs a decision ASAP.” “IT have busted my butt on this,” he said Thursday. “I have explained to the Liberals react to TFL delay, page 5 Editorial, page 6 minister that our community needs a decision ASAP.” Despite Conroy’s plea, Miller has yet to make a decision.
