Soon after 6 o’clock this morning a telegram was received from Spokane announcing thé fact that'the special train, carrying about 160 Elks, had left there at 8.o’clock sharp. . Immediately the word was sent around among.the Rossland members and all necessary arrangements made for giving the visiting brethren-a rousing recep- tion. John Robertson will be marshal ‘the day, and will be ably assisted by Dave Morgan. The Rossland members formed in line at the Allan house corner at 15-minutes - to 2, lead bythe Rossland Independent _ and lusty cheering, all formed in line of march; headed by the Spokane Silver Cornet band and marched . down Wash- ington to Second avenue, slong Second avenue to St. Paul street, down St. Paul atreet to Columbia avenue, and up Co- lumbiaavenue to the Miners’ Union hall.
