Using LIP funds for ia- bor costs and a loan for renovation costs, the Society moved the building to anew site, completely remodeling it both inside and out, an doubled its size by adding a downstairs floor. The old building is no longer recognizable as the same structure. Work con- tinues on the facility. Cur- rent projects include furth- er improvements to the in- side and outside of the building, finishing the land- scaping, and the building of 6.30 Bn, five days a week. taff qualifications are high with the entire pro- ram oriented towards mak- ing the experiences of the children richly rewarding, Emphasis is not on formal education, but on warm, in- formal education and soclal experiences which are so important to the normal de- velopment of the child, The Centre is run by patd staff who must meet provinclally determined qualification levels. The paid staff is in turn respon- sible to a board of directors whose members are unpaid, and who are elected from the general membership of the Society. on, Income is derlved from charges to parents, scaled according to the ability of the parents to pay.
