Susan was beautiful in a two-piece white summer dress with scalloped, embroidered lace at the neck and hemline. Her bouquet of white carna- tions and red roses was a love- ly match to her headdress of baby roses and pearls. The bride's _ parents, Lawrence and Kathy Popoff, hosted the ceremony in the garden of their Castlegar home. The garden setting was enhanced with red and white carnations. Both parents gave their daughter away in marriage. Attending the bride was her daughter, Taya Voykin, who wore a white taffeta dress with a fitted bodice and a full skirt. Taya wore coronets of baby’s breath in her hair and carried a basket of red carna- tions and baby’s breath. The groom’s nephew, Logan Voykin of Pass Creek, attend- ed Warren during the ceremo- ny. Warren’s parents, Vera and Walter Chernoff, hosted the wedding reception at their Crescent Valley home. Kinnaird Elementary, which won the girls championship Thursday at Twin Rivers Elementary School, was poised to make it a clean sweep with a win in the boys championship at its home court Friday. But a group of boys from Twin Rivers Elementary spoiled the party with a 3-1 victory in the best of five game final. The boys final was marked by rallies that consistently lasted eight and nine hits, diving saves and beautiful plays.
