Mr. Frank Watson came in from Spo kane last night on his way to the Slocan country to look after the Arlington mine of which he was elected manager at the annual meeting held in Spokane last Wednesday. Mr. Watson intends to put on a num- ber or extra men at once building roads and preparing to ship the ore as fast as it can be handled. His policy, he saya, is to proceed with the sinking of the shaft and algo to continue the drift work along the ledge already exposed in the tunnel. Mr. Watson believes that by the time the snow is off he will have enough ore out to make the Arlington a cons‘ant shipper. Good Word for Rossland. Hugh O’Neil, chief steward at the Sisters’ hospital, has received the sad news of the untimely death of his son, Edward Hngh Wesley, at San Jose, Cal.
