Robson WI to continue craft fairs The November meeting of the Robson Women’s Institute was held at the home of Jo Fornelli with six members present. Following the singing of the Ode, the minutes and treasurer’s report were-réad-and-approved. Correspondence that consisted of letters from the provincial office, the Canadian National Institute of the Blind, plus several thank-you notes, were read and contents noted. Due to WI’s dwindling member- ship, the question of abeyance was regretfully discussed by members. The general consensus was that wi would persevere but only as a social group with commitments mainly to crafts sessions. Robson WI will no longer cater breakfasts at Robson flea market, but will carry on with its craft fairs. The annual craft fair this year will take place Nov. 30 and Dec. | at the Robson Community Hall. Plans were finalized for this event which promises to be a worthwhile and en- joyable two days. The December meeting will be combined with a dinner party to which Robson WI will invite mem- bers’ husbands. Following adjournment, members held their annual meeting. All offices were filled by acclamation and will be served for another year by the same people. The hostess served refreshments following the meeting.
