The 5.7 litre SFI LT1 V8 in

tion of power (275 hp at 500
1pm) and torque (325 lb.-ft. at an
amazingly low 2000 rpm). It now
has better drivability, while a
new, more powerful ignition sys-
tem offers remarkably quick
cold-start capability.

New Transmission Choices

Transmissions represent state
of the art technology, with a 5-
speed manual, 6-speed maaval,—.
and new electronically controlled
4-speed automatic on the menu.
The 6-speed manual transmission
has a “skip shift” feature that
allows you to automatically shift
‘from first to fourth gear in nor-
mal city driving for improved
fuel economy.

Even the available radio sys-
tems, highlighted by the new
Delco 2001 series family, offer
the future of sound. They feature
a new panel layout with buttons
that are larger and easier to find
and use — the driver needn't
think about where to locate the
proper switches. CD player, pre-
mium speakers, and AM/FM
stereo are among the many out-
standing features.
