maiden name. A contract
player with MGM, Lanza’s

You're Mine™ (1952), “Sere-
nade" (1956) and “For the
First Time’ (1959). Lanza
was 30 years old when “The
Great Caruso” was released
in 1951. He died of a heart at-
tack on Oct. 7, 1959, at the
age of 38, Lanza’s voice was
often compared to that of the
immortal Enrico Caruso. Ca-
ruso died in Naples, Italy. ofa
lung infection on Aug. 27.
