Many tennis members will "be needed later on to help in ‘various ways, as the club is ‘relying on a great deal of volunteer labor. The courts will ; be very expensive to put in but ; volunteer labor will help. cut 2 costs. When work parties are + required, ‘announcements will be made via the radio station and Castlegar News. Fishing Regulations For 1975 Available Soon iments to the British Columbia fishing regulations pertaining to non-tidal sport fishing have scecntly been passed by order-in-counell in Ottawa. Present regulations, as outlined in the “1974 Summary of Sport Fishing Regulations", will remain in effect until the 1975 summary has been printed and made available to the public, Director of the fish and wildlife branch, Dr. James Hatter, said recently in Victoria that the branch: endeavors to make the regulation summary available by April Ist each year (the beginning of the licehee year). The process is very time- consuming, however, since the regulations are proposed in the field, approved in Victoria, submitted through Fisheries and Marine Service in Vancou- ver to Fisherles‘and Marine in Ottawa, approved by Fisheries and Marine and then by the. justice department, translated, returned to Fisheries and Mar-, ine and finally passed by federal order-in-couneil. In the meantime, Dr. Hat- ter continued, the.branch is faced with the: problem of . preparing the information syn- opsis for the public in the hope that no substantial changes are made in Ottawa, and. that the’ regulations will be passed by the time the synopsia “is printed. ‘This year, the regulations were passed in late May, and the branch is now printing over 00,000 coples of the synopsis as quickly as possible.
