DEER PARK.
The Deer Park is located on the

south west of town, and has probably
the largest mineral deposit in the
tamp. It is developed by a abaft 145

machinery consists ofa 40-borse boil-
er nnd a 20-horse hoist. Supplies are

great body of ore is low grade, but is

should enconrage us in our Christian
life. Like God’s people of old, we are
journeying to the Iand of promise and
must heed the divine injunction if we
will be saved. :

our Christian experience we must grow
in grace. Progress in the divine life is
as necessary as progress in natural life.
As Christians, first we are as new-born
babes in grace, as little children in the
divine household. By contact wfth the
divine presence we continue to grow in
faith and the fruits of the spirit until

we attain to the fullness of glory.

“The evidence of our growth in grace
ia shown in our acts of love to God and

to our fellow men, We should incre ise

in good words and works. A large pro-

portion of the church membership is

spiritually quiet when it might be rich

in grace. We owe an obligation to God

and the church to go forward; to advance

oureelvea in our Christian life. The
poorest in spirit may grow richest
thereby.

‘Refuse to be obedient to the will of
God and you will ve unhappy in the loss
of Christ from your soul. To go forward
means victory and a crown of glory.

“I trust that you will carry the words
of the text for cheer and comfortin your
daily walks of life. It appeals to all
Christians today as it did of old that
His grace is sufficient to overcome all

ofhis sermon: ‘“Lost;” his text being
found in the 19th chapter of St. Luke.

terpreted as to his character and his
mission. There was bold opposition
both to the manner and time of His
coming by the Jews. They had hoped

While a direct lineal descendent of the
Jews, he was the Son of man claiming
brotherhood and holding common rela-
tions with all everywhere, whether they

“Lost referred not to opportunities
gone by or chances for betterment in a
practical worldly sense, but to the souls
of men. We have seen men lost on the
prairies and in the woods. They will
ask all manner of questions but will uot
admit that they are lost. And it isgen-
erally a hard matter to convince them
that they are lost. Just so with lost
souls. They continue on the wrong road
and keep circling round and round from
year’s end to year’s end and refuse to
be guided aright.
