When Compared to the Robson Highway

Dear Sir:
Six years ago my husband
and I moved to this area. It was
a lovely area, quiet enough
as one could en: oy life but not
so rural or out-of-the-way that
a good education for our child-
ren was impossible or so isolat-
ed that we could feel cut off
from our larger centers to the
east or west. The Castlegar area
was a very pleasant place to
live, indeed.

to accomodate the families in
Robson and all those in Deer
Park and Renata.

With this highway being so
narrow and having many corn-
ers, it has resulted in wholesale
slaughter of our children’s pets.
These pets may be just animals
but to our children and to some
of us, it is like losing a good and
loyal friend.

to protect our children and

to be on the highway and all we
ask is for the drivers of these
cars to slow down and watch for
