SILLOWING SMOKE was the scene last week as
a 1967 - model compact car was extensively dam-
aged. Fire chief Ed Lewis pinpointed cause of the
fire as an ignition wire shorting against the car’s
gas heater. Within seconds of the spark being
struck, the car was engulfed in smoke and flames
and this was the sight when firemen arrived on
the scene. The blaze was quickly extinguished,
