Canadian Legion will hold its honors
and awards dinner March 15 at the
Legion Hall. The Legion’s Ladies
Auxiliary will cater the event.

The next general membership
meeting is March $ at 7:30 p.m.

Marvin Hart is a new member of
the executive for 1991-92 replacing
Rosemary Barley who is now
secretary to the branch. The branch's
curling bonspiel is slated for March
24 and a few more players are
needed. Beginners are welcome.

The Legion held a_ successful
Spaghetti and ribs dinner recently
and more are planned for the future.

March 1, 9, 16 and 23 followed by a
nostalgia night March 30 with music
from the 1940s and '50s.

of a talk given by Tom Edmonds at
the Castlegar United Church on
March 4 at 7:30 p.m.

Edmonds currently works as a

staff person at the national level of
the United Church of Canada. He is
responsible for maintaining links
with and providing support to par-
tner churches and other groups in
Central/Latin America and the
Caribbean.

Prior to taking this position, he
lived and worked for 10 years in
Brazil and has travelled extensively
