Environment, Lands and Parks, Regional Operations, Columbia Basin
Fish & Wildlife Compensation Program. The Columbia Basin Fish and
Wildlife Compensation Program, a co-operative initiative between BC
Environment and BC Hydro, is seeking experienced fish biologists to develop
and oversee projects on lakes, reservoirs and streams. Applicants should have a
Bachelor of Science or Technical Diploma in biology or a related field, as well
as at least three years experience in fish biology, including fishery
management, research, inventory, .assessment, monitoring and
restoration/enhancement; or an equivalent combination of training and
i pe y exp involving one or more seasonal staff will
be required, as well as skills in working with the public, including
pervising and rep ing the program in public
meetings. Oral and written communications and negotiations will be required in
working with First Nations, government agencies, and other organizations.
Experience in contract 8 ing impl and monitoring
of simultaneous contracts would be an asset. These positions will be initially
staffed for a term of seven months, with an opportunity for renewal.

Relocation expenses will not be provided for this opportunity.
