He was married in Salmo jn 1987 where he resided until 1947, when the family moved to Kelowna, In 1950 the family took up residence in Kinnaird, where he had resided until his death.’ Prior to taking up the car- pentry trade in 1950, he had worked at mining and logging. He was a charter member of Loca! 2300 Carpenters, Joiners and Planermen’s Union and chairman of the Kootenay Co- lumbia Carpenters Society, being instrumental in getting the latter organization to pur- chase a time clock for the Castlegar Community Centre. Mr. Sookachoff was also an ardent fisherman. He is survived by his wife, Polly; three sons, Philip and Cyril, both of Blueberry and Paul of Surrey; and six grand- children. He was predeceased by his parents, a sister Mary, in 1926 ff, Alex Osachoff, Bill VAS Plotnikoff,-Mike M. Plotni- koff, Alex K, Pereverzoff and Les W. York.
