Mr. Mor-~ rison, Supt. of the Public Library Com- mission:of Victoria was present. Mre Kiley represented the village commis— The object of the meeting was to in- form Mr. Morison of progress to date and to discuss any problems regarding financings Mre Morison explained that for the current year, the Public Libra Commission had $25,000 for grants—in—- aid to be allotted to public library associations of B.C. The amount to be ranted the Castlegar association is . 250. This sum, however, must be met by the local governing body dollar for dollar. It must be spent on children's books with free membership to all juve- niles. Mr. Morison stated that Burns Lake Assn. established the year before Castlegar Assn. was formed is receiving a grant of $300.
