Mr, A.J. McMillan, who for years
past has been the agent for Manitoba in
Great Britain, is known as a man who
thinks well before he speaks. As the
immigration agent for his Government
he sticks by the side of truth and he
does the same when he talks of British
Columbia. He has been in this
Province for three months and only left
the other day for London, where he is to
deliver a lecture on the Province at the
Imperial Institute. ‘While in Winnipeg
a “Tribune” reporter interviewed him.

“J¢ is generally reported in Winnipeg
that the bottom has dropped out of
Rossland, and that Kootenay mining is
in a bad way. Is there any trath in

“The impression conveyed by that
