The theme for the service. was The World Day of Prayer had ® very small beginning in 1928, It allocated to various projects such as the printing of Christian literature, missions for lepers, ‘bible societies, ete,, was $1,300 and in 1958 the of- fering allocated was $46,675 whith shows the growth of attendance at the Day of Prayer. In the year 1968 there were 191,000 programs for the service printed for adults and 31,000 for girls, This same year was the tfinst year that a service for girls was held, The offerings are sent to the ‘Women's Inter-Church Council who allocate it to these speciel places. ‘Those taking part in the ser- vice were: Leaders wits, R.
