Funeral service was held at the Castlegar Funeral Chapel on Wednesday, June 6, 1994 with burial at park memorial Cemetery. Mr. Boshko was born January 27, 1919 at Poltava in the Ukraine. George John Cheveldave On Monday, May 30, 1994, George John Cheveldave of Castlegar passed away at the Trail Regional Hospital in his worked for Verigin industries. From 1969 until January of 1994 he took an active part in the affairs of the Castlegar Funeral Chapel. Mr. Cheveldave was a mem- ber of the USCC, enjoyed gar- dening and was an avid sports enthusiast. He also served as the commissioner on the Ist Council for the Village of Castlegar. George is survived by: one son, Harry of North Vancouver, two daughters. Mrs. Russell (Tillie) Verigin of Castlegar and Mary Gagnon of Néw ster; nine grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren. Besides his wife he is survived families. He had no children of his own, only the world's greatest grand- children. In 1949 he went to Chile and in 1957 he immigrated to Canada settling in Winnipeg. While in Winnipeg he worked as an orderly in the hospital. In 1972 he came to Robson and worked for Hadikins Sawmill until its closing. In 1989 he moved into Castlegar.
