Association’s computer committee.

The system could also cost the
government up to $9 million a year

agency — retroactive to 1988.

start-up costs at each of the 2,000
locations where doctors have their
own computers, and $2,000 annually
in increased operating costs for each

Southam gets. court hearing

TORONTO (CP) — The Federal
Court of Canada will hold a hearing
on an attempt by the Bureau of
Competition Policy to force
Southam Newspaper Group to sell
bn B.C. newspapers.

The hearing will be held Jan. 24,
