Bonny Marie Makortoff and Clarence Paul Verigin exchanged vows at the Brilliant Cultural Centre. Couple wed at Cultural Centre Brilliant Cultural Centre was the setting for a lovely afternoon wedding, in the traditional Doukhobor custom, which united in marriage Bonny Marie Makortoff and Clarence Paul Verigin. The bride is the daughter of Jack and Mary Makortoff of Grand Forks and the groom is the son of Paul and Mary Verigin of Pass Creek. The bride was dressed in a traditional Russian outfit made of a lovely imported embroidered chiffon, with an underlay of white bridal satin. She wore a hand embroidered shawl of white silk roses. Both the dress and shaw! were made by the bride's mother. The bride carried a beautiful array of cascading lilies, roses and stephanotis which accented the bridal party color theme. Attending the bride were maid of honor Cheryl Johnson, and bridesmaid Gail Cheveldave. The two girls wore outfits made of a dusty rose bridal satin and wore corsages of dainty pink roses accented with carnations. The groom was dressed in a white tuxedo with a satin trim and wore a boutonniere of a rose and stephanotis. Bob Kalmakoff and Rick Bondaroff ac- companied the groom in grey tuxedos with pink rose boutonnieres. The mothers of the bride and groom wore outfits of dusty rose with shawls to match.
