I mean, there is other things too. Every week there’s kids busy work- ing my classes. The teachers are all nice and take the students on field trips and to my gym to play sports. Ihave a wonderful library with com- puters and good books. At recess the Grades 1, 2, 3 and 4 kids play on my playground and the Grades 4 and 6 kids hang out around the school. . At lunch there is sometimes hot lunches which the Parent Advisory Group make. After they eat they play intramu- rals. I also have a conference room for people that need help. Students put awesome things on my hall ways like art work, and writing. Sometimes the school has special days like sports day. So I am a safe, happy school where important things happen. ae ; News photo by Glen Freeman. Kinnaird Elementary is a busy place, just ask student Sandra Sawchuk who is fast at work solving the problems thrown at her in math class. AFTER THE FIRE THE TOUR OF THE HISTORICAL SCHOOL Diana, Leah, Kristen In 1992 there was once a school called Kinnaird Elementary. The school was shut down. The rea- son why it was shut down was because a strange fire occurred. This is the year 3001, in this story we are going to take a tour of the historical school. “Hello, my name is Mr. Jenkins,” a pe said. “I will be your tour guide to- ay. *I should tell you that the school burned down in 1992 and no one got out alive. The school was rebuilt in 1993. Many people think the school is haunt- ed by the former students and teachers. “We will start our tour in the office, this was once the most peaceful place in the school. Ms. Naccarato was the sec- retary, and her office helpers all worked hard at their job. “Now into Mr. Zanet’s office, he was, the principal. Sometimes at night you can hear him talking to the’students. “Next we should go to the gym. This is where the students had PE, and this is where the Grade 6 band practiced. “Now to the classrooms. The ghosts of the kids are still in there. “Now we should go to the library. Mrs. Vigue and her helpers worked hard in.this room. The students would study and do homework in there. “Now we will go down the hall to the conference rooms. The halls are now dingy but at one time they were very bright with beautiful artwork. “We will go now into the conference room. This is where the kids would be helped either with school work or if they had a problem they could talk about it. “That was our last room, we have to go now. I’m surprised the ghosts haven’t done anything yet.” But as they all got out, the school burst into flames. “ SUMMARY OF RESPONSES FROM FEB. 92 Elementary? gram, the students. good idea?
